Exploring the Role of Catalytic Capital at Cleantech Forum

At this year’s Cleantech Forum North America, Trellis Climate’s Managing Director, Lara Pierpoint, and AtmosZero’s CEO and Co-Founder, Addison Stark, joined the Cleantech Group’s Sasha Bukhari for a fireside chat entitled Catalytic Capital: The Future of Climate Infrastructure.

Their conversation delved into the role of different types of capital in financing First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) projects and accelerating the deployment of breakthrough technologies. They highlighted how catalytic capital can bridge critical gaps in funding, ensuring that promising climate solutions reach commercial scale.

AtmosZero served as a key example, showcasing how the company is strategically scaling and diversifying its capital stack to advance as a gigawatt-scale heat pump manufacturer. Their discussion underscored the importance of aligning capital sources to meet the unique challenges of scaling hardware innovations.

By bringing together experts from across the cleantech ecosystem, the session reinforced the urgent need for innovative financing approaches to drive climate infrastructure forward.
