Gigi Alsaadi Spotlights CRANE At UofT’s Sustainability Conference 2025

Gigi Alsaadi, CRANE fellow at Prime Coalition, spoke at the “2025 Sustainability Conference: Adaptation – Planning for Future Challenges” hosted by the Sustainable Engineers Association (SEA) at the University of Toronto, Canada.

At the Sustainable Entrepreneurship – Enabling Sustainable Ecosystems panel, Gigi spoke to an audience of over 100 about the critical role nonprofits play in scaling sustainable technologies. She highlighted how organizations like Prime Coalition help cleantech startups navigate funding and scalability challenges while also strengthening the impact investment ecosystem with essential tools like the CRANE tool.

With 5,500+ users worldwide, CRANE was highlighted as the only free resource available to help investors, startups, and climate innovators quantify the forward-looking impact of climate technologies.

Gigi was accompanied as a panelist by Shannon Wilson, Manager of Carbon at Foresight Canada, the largest cleantech accelerator in Canada; Zeus Eden, Sustainability Policy Leader; and Nawar Alsaadi, Founder and CEO of Kanata Advisors. This discussion reinforced the need for collaboration between nonprofits, accelerators, and startups to scale climate innovation.
