Knowledge Sharing
The climate emergency requires that solutions be deployed at scale via markets, which in turn require investment decisions and management practices that are optimized for GHG impact. Investors around the world need access to high-quality climate impact analysis to make impact-prioritizing investment decisions and advance our collective progress toward climate targets.
Prime’s Knowledge Sharing programs allow us to share our expertise with investors and philanthropists to improve their climate decisions. We seek to upskill current and future investment professionals in the practice of forward-looking GHG impact assessment and reporting, cultivating and expanding the talent pipeline globally in order to accelerate investment towards the best possible climate solutions.
Prime convenes the Project Frame community, which has united over 900 participants within three years, representing 400 investment management firms and climate experts on the subject of climate impact analysis. The community works to develop consensus terminology and best practices for evaluating early-stage greenhouse gas impact, optimizing investment decisions for climate impact and accelerating funding to more effective climate solutions. Its globally recognized pre-investment methodology has over 1,300 downloads.

Prime manages the CRANE tool, which is the only free, open-access web platform available to evaluate forward-looking climate impact. CRANE is used across 90+ countries by more than 6,000 users, who have generated over 123,000 reports to date. The tool standardizes the evaluation of emerging technologies' emissions impact potential, and has a custom model feature, enabling investors, accelerators, and entrepreneurs to make informed climate investment decisions by leveraging data from over 200 existing technologies.
Prime manages the Catalytic Capital Intermediation Resource Library, which compiles resources, based on our experiences at Prime launching three different impact-first investment programs from 2014 to 2022, as well as field-leading work from organizations we admire.
